Emmons Buying Experience

Post by Travis Beam »

Hi all,

I am curious about the buying experience of others who have purchased a new Emmons Resound guitar? Have you been pleased with communication from the company in regard to your instrument?

I haven't purchased a reSound but I did acquire a steel on their Pre-owned section. A beautiful Mullen G2 9x9. My dealings with Kelcey were great both in email and on the phone. Easy to deal with, a pleasure to talk to. Highly recommended.

Like Bill, I bought a used one (1975 S-10) from them. They answered every question to my satisfaction and the guitar is better than described. I plan to buy another from them as soon as one becomes available. I don't have months and years to wait; I'm not that darn talented...

I bought an Emmons ReSound D10 in January of 2022 and received it in July 2023. Other than the wait time, it was a smooth process and a great experience. Communication with Darin and Kelcey was very good. When I called about the wait time they explained they had issues with vendors and suitable materials to make a quality guitar and did not want to let anything sub-standard out the door. I believe anyone can understand that.

The guitar I received as a result was outstanding, flawless, sounds beautiful, and I am very pleased. I still have ongoing communications with both of them and they have been responsive and very pleasant to talk to. I look forward to meeting them in person one day soon. I would highly recommend buying from them and feel sure you will have the same experience I did. I would be certain to get clarity on how long the wait time will be to receive your guitar though, other than that I believe you will be happy with the guitar itself and the process.

They’re the best. Wait time is long but the guitars are IMHO the best around. I’ve had 10 guitars in the last 50 years and their’s are the best.
