First up is John's surreal masterpiece, "I Am the Walrus". Originally released as a B-side single in late November 1967 (the A-side was "Hello, Goodbye") it held a prominent place in the Beatles made for TV film "Magical Mystery Tour". The film got mostly negative reviews; however, many critics pointed to the scene where the Beatles mime to "I Am the Walrus" as the high point of the program. This complex song was quite the challenge to arrange for bass, drums & Fender 400, and is clearly the most ambitious cover tune that I've presented yet, but was an incredible amount of fun at the same time

Second is John's "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away", originally appearing in the 1965 film and soundtrack album, "Help!"
