Steady work for steel player in New England area

Post by Bob Hoffnar »

Very good northern Ct based country band looking for steel player.

Decent paying gigs every weekend.

I have played this gig for the last year and a half and it has improved my playing quite a bit.

The material is primarily new country played at dance halls around here.
Billy's-Peabody Mass.
White Buffalo-Methune
Cactus Jack's- White River Junction, Vt
Etc...

Its a great gig for a steel player. I'm sorry I need to let it go. I'm picking up road work now and I can't commit my weekends to them anymore.

Get in touch for more info.

thanks, Bob

This is a fun gig with some real good musicians and an absolutely great woman singer. You do not need to be a big hot shot pedalsteel player. Just be willing to work.

I still think about moving back to New England, have been off and on for the last several years, but I doubt that I could line up a programming job, sell my house, and get up there in time to help you out. Image

The money is average dance hall cover band type pay. If anyone is interested I'll give them all the info I have. It works out to be pretty good but not enough to live on by itself.

It would be a perfect gig for a competent steel player that wants a steady weekend gig.

My playing really jumped up a few notches after 4 sets a night a couple nights a week with these guys.
